I joined Gesher School in September 2018 and during my time at Gesher I have held a number of additional roles, and now act as our Head of Kodesh (Jewish Studies). Originally from Toronto, Canada, I graduated from Western University Canada having received a Bachelors of Arts, specialising in Anthropology with a specific focus on Biological and Sociocultural Anthropology. Subsequently I went on to receive a Bachelors of Education from York University, during which I also received an additional qualification in Special Needs Education. Since then I have worked in a range of both mainstream and special educational settings and I have spent the last 8 years working specifically with SEN children. In my role as our Head of Kodesh, I will lead the Kodesh Team to support the students in cultivating a love for, and awareness of, Jewish heritage, culture and values. The students are taught to confidently affiliate with their Jewish identity, whilst also showing respect and building knowledge of other beliefs, practices and customs that surround them. Above all, I strive to ensure that the students at Gesher develop not only a love for Judaism, but learn to embrace the values that make our religion so special.
