Cara Lorrimer

Cara is the part-time Art Therapist at Gesher School and will be working alongside the therapy team to support the wellbeing and social emotional development of our school’s cohort. Cara has a post-graduate diploma from the Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education, in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Youth Studies. 

Registered  with The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy, she has many years of experience, working with children and young people, in a variety of settings. Since retraining as a Creative Arts Therapist and qualifying in 2017, Cara has set up private practice and worked in-house for various charities, primary schools  and secondary schools around North London. Her approach is child-led, compassion focused and humanistic, with an emphasis on playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy. Cara is delighted to work with and create with the children at Gesher school. 

Gesher School is currently closed and will re-open on 10th December.
