Pupils can be admitted through the academic year but the majority will take up places at the beginning of each term. Pupils will normally have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education and Health Care Plan or be undergoing a formal assessment. Children with statements or EHCPs will have Gesher’s education and therapeutic fees paid for by their Local Authority and is set at £27,500 per annum. There is an additional £2,500 fee payable per annum by parents for Kodesh or Jewish Studies – this is not normally covered by Local Authorities.
A child centred approach will enable the admissions team to ensure Gesher School is the right provision for your child, and the views of parents, professionals and the child will be taken into account.
Typically, Gesher will require a full range of diagnostic reports by professionals such as educational psychologists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. These reports would need to be no more than two years old. If the reports are older than this you may be asked to provide an up to date assessment.
In addition to this, the Gesher team may wish to observe your child in their home or school environment. To have this policy emailed or posted to you, or to speak to our admissions team please ring 0207 419 5112 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
